You'll see your words appear in real time, with the option to refine the transcript for even greater accuracy when you're done.

In this quick guide, we'll walk you through how to use the web recorder and show you how to get the most out of real-time transcription.

1. Open the online editor in your browser

You don't need to install anything - just make sure your mic is enabled.

You'll find the microphone button in the menu bar at the top of the page.

Begin talking, and your speech will be transcribed in real time - you'll see the words appear on the screen as you speak.

When you've finished speaking, just click "Stop".

Once your recording ends, you'll see the transcript appear instantly. From here, you have two options:

• Save the raw transcript as it is, or
• Click "Refine" to improve the accuracy of your transcript

Tip: Live transcriptions are fast and convenient, but may be slightly less accurate than our standard service. Refining your transcript helps fill in any gaps and clean up errors - and it only costs half the usual time credits. In just a few minutes, you'll have a more polished version of your transcript, ready to edit, export, or share.

You can edit and reformat the transcript directly in your browser, including:

• Tweaking wording
• Renaming speakers
• Applying formatting like bold, italics, or underlining

Need the audio file too? PRO users can save it separately to use elsewhere - just head to the bottom-right corner, click the download button, and select your preferred format.
